Planet Homeschool

Planet Homeschool An inclusive secular homeschool coop for middle & high school students in Saint Anthony Village, MN. There is ample parking in the Faith UMC parking lot.

Planet Homeschool is a secular homeschool coop for middle school and high school students. Our members are committed to building and sustaining a positive and enriching environment for learning, socialization, and support. PHS meets on Fridays from mid September through early May at Faith UMC in Saint Anthony Village, Minnesota, USA. PHS is a vibrant and welcoming learning community that offers a

wide selection of courses led by instructors who are passionate about their craft and actively engaged in their field. The learning environment at PHS is characterized by small class sizes, a comfortable and informal atmosphere, and close relationships between instructors, students, and parents. PHS attracts an exceptional group of lively, intellectually curious students who truly enjoy being here. And we involve an array of talented and supportive parents whose good ideas have helped build our co-op from its start in 1999. Members are expected to share in the administrative and supervisory work of the co-op. While most member families fulfill this commitment by volunteering for On-Site Volunteer shifts, ample opportunities for leadership development exist and members are encouraged to share their skills and enthusiasm to build and sustain our co-op. A bike rack is available as well. Metro Transit Route 25 stops at the corner of 33rd Ave NE & Belden Dr.

Homeschooling moms Julie Abel and Zoe Carroll Kuester founded Planet Homeschool in the Spring of 1999, with classes starting in the Fall of 1999 at Creek Valley Baptist Church in Edina. Planet Homeschool has been at its current location, Faith United Methodist Church in Saint Anthony Village, since the fall of 2013. Planet Homeschool is a program of the non-profit corporation, Minnesota Secular Homeschool Enrichment, Inc.
