Today is the Feast Day of our Patroness St. Martha~!

“Lord, when did I see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did I see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? And when did I see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

And our Lord will answer and say, “every time you DO for one of these little ones (the humble, the poor, the outcast, the forgotten, the abused, the lonely, the sick) you do for me.” (Matthew 25:35).

St. Martha -- through your intercession, help us to be more responsible in our gifts of hospitality and love and mercy for others.

Let all guests be received as Christ.

Yesterday was a day to celebrate!

Volunteer Meghan has been working with Mark on helping him to improve his reading!

Over the past few months, they would meet each Sunday and practice! Mark would work on his homework daily and it wasn’t long before we witnessed such growth!

Mark is so happy! And we are so proud of his hard work! Thank you, Meghan, for sharing your gift of teaching!

Join Our Soup Kitchen Volunteer Team!

We’re looking for caring, dependable volunteers to help us serve warm meals and kindness to our community. If you can follow directions well and enjoy working with others, we’d love to have you on our team!

What You’ll Do:
• Assist with meal prep, serving, and cleaning.
• Work alongside a friendly, supportive team.
• Serving guests in dignified and effective ways.
• Help create a welcoming environment for our guests.

What We’re Looking For:
• Ability to listen carefully and follow guidance from team leaders.
• Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Reliability and a positive attitude.
• Offer a minimum of one shift per week. 9 a.m. – 1: 15 p.m.

Anyone who has worked in kitchens knows this service is far from easy. So being part of our team requires someone who can follow direction well while staying focused on the tasks at hand.

Why Volunteer?
You’ll be part of a caring community, make a tangible impact, and leave each shift knowing you’ve made someone’s day brighter.
