Members are encouraged to attend. SCFC facilities include a clubhouse, 3 Skeet fields, 1 trap field, an outdoor archery course, and outdoor combination rifle/pistol ranges with distances of 25, 50, 100, and 200 yads.

The season is in full swing! So many options for fun on the range, just this week we have:
- Competitive Pistol Coaching: Tuesday
- Precision Rimfire Practice and Match: Thursday
- Competitive Pistol Practice: Thursday
- IDPA Match: Saturday
- NRL22 Match: Saturday
- Shotgun 5 Stand Match: Saturday
- USPSA Match: Sunday
- Open Shotgun: Sunday

Just a reminder to check the calendar before heading to the range. For example, tomorrow one of the 25 yard ranges and the 50, 100 and 200 will be closed for the 3 Gun Match. There will still be many other ranges open (two 25, three 12 yard ones), shotgun, etc.

As always, all members and non-members, experienced and new shooters, are encouraged to participate in all of the events.

Cadets from Champlain Composite Squadron, Capital Composite Squadron, and Rutland Composite Squadron were joined by Vermont Fi****ms Training instructor John Jacob at the Sportsman's Club of Franklin County yesterday for extensive training in firearm's safety and use. They learned basic firearm safety, range rules, and were able to practice shooting prone with a variety of .22-caliber rifles. Cadets were able to practice with several types of sights and scopes and attempted the NRA Sharpshooter qualification for 25 yards.

Did you know that some of the best 3 Gun matches in New England are held right here at our club? An exciting mix of practical rifle, shotgun and pistol on a set of stages with a variety of targets.

Next match: Saturday, June 13, set up starts at 7AM, first shots 9AM.
We also need help with set up on Friday, June 12, any time Noon-5PM.
