The Freedom Car Show is drifting down the boulevard to Magic Island Park, 101 Kanawha Boulevard West, Charleston, WV due to anticipated road construction this fall.

Funds from the Freedom Car Show were used to purchase a Hoyer lift for a consumer. This equipment will assist with safe transfers from the bed to a wheelchair.

Freedom Car Show funds purchased a hoyer lift so Vicki can transfer from her bed to her wheelchair.

WVSILC is proud to support independent living and community engagement through a wide range of events across West Virginia. We host Car Shows, the annual Stewart Conference for disability advocacy, IL Day at the Capitol, transition fairs for high school students, the Disability History Week essay contest, ice cream socials, and Back-to-School events for students with disabilities and their families.

We also work closely with organizations that share our mission and take part in outreach opportunities statewide to ensure more West Virginians have access to resources and support.
