The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Watch for the Champlain and Lower Connecticut River valleys from Wednesday thru Friday. Heat index values are expected to reach 105°F in the Watch area and 95-100°F elsewhere, creating an increased risk for heat-related illnesses. Ongoing hot daytime temperatures with warm overnight temperatures will put people without access to air conditioning at especially high risk. Join Alex Arnold & VCPI for a Climate Cafe on Wednesday, May 27 for a structured yet informal space featuring open, respectful conversations about our emotional responses to the climate crisis.
