Held at a restoration project site on Lake Carmi, Lakeshore Restoration Permitting (Part 2): Post-Implementation is designed for staff from conservation districts and watershed organizations, as well as other clean water project implementers looking to build their knowledge of project permitting and design.

A look back at this summer’s 4th Annual Missisquoi River Fishing Festival:

We spent the day fishing, learning about the river, practicing casting, making fish prints, and enjoying time along the Missisquoi.

Thanks to everyone who joined us, and a special thank-you to the Upper Missisquoi and Trout Rivers Wild & Scenic Committee for providing funding for this year’s festival and supporting opportunities to connect with and care for our rivers!

We're hiring a Natural Resources Technician through the VHCB AmeriCorps Program.

Become a vital member of the FCNRCD team and support the planning and implementation of natural resources and water quality projects in Franklin County. Conduct tree plantings, soil sampling, restoration site maintenance, and more.

This is a full time (1720 hours) position which begins January 12th, 2027, and ends December 10th, 2027.

What is biosecurity, and why is it important?

Microorganisms are everywhere: in soil, on our skin, in the air, and on the animals, plants, people, and equipment around us. Some are harmless or even beneficial, while others can spread disease or threaten the health of farms and ecosystems.

Biosecurity is the practice of reducing those risks and is especially important when work involves travelling from farm to farm.
