A crisis can happen to anyone - a sudden illness, accident, or unforeseen event that disrupts a family's financial security. SNHN responds quickly by directly paying essential bills that help restore stability. Assistance may include support with rent or mortgage payments, utilities, food, medical bills, propane, firewood, funeral expenses, or travel for medical care not available locally.

"Every request for help is unique," said Cathy Maestas, Founder of Saguache Neighbor Helping Neighbor. "By responding quickly and compassionately, we can prevent our neighbors from falling deeper into financial hardship, homelessness, or long-term dependency. It's about giving people the stability and hope they need to move forward."

Saguache Neihbor Helping Neighbor is built on the belief that we're stronger together. With a united community, neighbors can uplift neighbors and ensure no one faces a crisis alone.

Saguache Neighbor Helping Neighbor is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to stabilizing household experiencing one-time crises. Through direct financial assistance for urgent needs, we rely on donations and grants to continue to help families regain independence and avoid long-term hardship.
