Hello friends~
Just a quick reminder to vote 'Yes' for the 1% Lot tax on Tuesday.
In addition to supporting our local parks and green spaces, it could support the purchase of Baldfoot Disc Golf Course.

This course has had over 30,000 rounds played on it since the inception in 2015.
It is a beautiful chunk of land that has been created and cared for by the club and promotes healthy activity for people of ALL ages. If you would like to learn more about the 1% Lot tax please go to:

This is a post to let you know that the 1% Lot tax we get to vote on in November could really support our very well loved disc golf course we call ‘Baldfoot’.

Let’s come together and vote ‘yes’ for our green spaces and keep Baldfoot Disc Golf Course available as an outdoor activity for all ages.

The board of directors of the Eureka Institute has been recently been made aware of the ever growing number of families and individuals that are in need of a free meal. Back in May of 2020 with the help of a lot of businesses and individuals we were able to provide over 3,000 free meals, and we hope to top that here is phase 2 of our program. The Eureka Institute would like express our deep appreciation and gratitute to the Sandpoint community for supporting our Free Meal Initiative to provide food for those in need. Thanks to Leadership Sandpoint, the Innovia Foundation as well as several hundred individual supporters we've raise over $13,000 and served 1,000 free meals in 2 1/2 weeks!

We also want to give a big shout out to our meal providers, Sandpoint Curry, Eichardt's Pub and Grill and Matchwood Brewing for helping make this program possible. As much as this program is about providing free meals to the hungry, it's also about supporting the food providers by helping them retain staff and keep their doors open.

When we first started, we were certainly curious about the real "need". Unfortuantely it has now been established, there's a tremendous need! Food providers have given away all their prepared foods each meal and we are seeing a definate need to expand the program. We currently have funding to give out approx. 2,000 more meals but beyond that we need your help. We would also like to bring on other food providers in Priest River and Clark Fork online but are hesitant until we can adequately fund it for at least a couple of weeks.
