Scholarship Packets can be picked up TODAY, June 11 between 4-7 p.m. at Bridgeport Public Library – Children’s Department Story Hour Room, 3399 Williamson Rd., Bridgeport.

Packets can be picked up at our office, 1 Tuscola St., Suite 100B (behind the Temple Theatre in Downtown Saginaw) between 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. today.

2026 marked a record-setting year for our scholarship program: 962 awards presented to 648 students totaling $2.9 million.

Thank you to our donors for their generosity in establishing scholarship funds here at Saginaw Community Foundation which allow us to present the awards each year. And thank you to our team of nearly 300 volunteer scholarship application reviewers, who through their careful evaluation, allow us to match qualifying applicants to scholarship fund opportunities.

Last evening, we held our 39th Annual Excellence in Education Event, where we celebrated our 2026 Scholarship Recipients at Horizons Conference Center. This year, we awarded 962 scholarships to 648 students for a total of $2,925,900 (all record-high numbers!). Congratulations students!

These scholarship awards are made possible by our amazing donors. To them we extend our deepest appreciation as they make the dream of higher education come true for so many students across Saginaw County, parts of Michigan, and even parts across the country.

Also, a tremendous thank you to our team of nearly 300 volunteer reviewers who read and scored all of our scholarship applications. With your dedication to helping out, we are able to match qualifying students to scholarship awards based on your review. You are a huge help in making the education dreams of so many students come true.

And, thank you to our event sponsors, Nexteer Automotive and Team One Credit Union; to Hemlock Semiconductor for sponsoring our professional headshot photos for students; and SummIT Technology for donating our grand prize raffle item!

Packets can be picked up at Saginaw Community Foundation, 1 Tuscola St., Suite 100B (behind the Temple Theatre in Downtown Saginaw), during business hours Mon. – Thurs., 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Fri., 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Next week, Saginaw Community Foundation will host three Scholarship Packet Pick-Up locations around Saginaw County on the following dates:

Wed., June 10
Thomas Township Library

On these special packet pick-up locations and dates, packets will not be available for pick-up at SCF after 3 p.m.
