BOIL WATER NOTICE UPDATE – MAY 2, 2026
As of 2:15 PM, the boil water notice for the City of Saginaw has been lifted. Water is now safe for normal use, including drinking, cooking, and bathing.
Out of an abundance of caution, residents may choose to flush household plumbing by running faucets for a few minutes and discarding any ice made during the notice period.
Water distribution behind Saginaw City Hall will be ending at this time.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout this situation.

On May 1, 2026, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Saginaw public water system (TX 2200023) to issue a boil water notice to inform customers, individuals, and employees that, due to conditions that occurred in the public water system, the water was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking or human consumption.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed for drinking and human consumption and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results indicating that the water no longer requires boiling as of May 2, 2026.
