Added some Halloween type things like clown make up and “grandma” costume accessories like the glasses and pearls. If you want a grey wig, let me know and I’ll bring it out to you!

We had a full house tonight at the Saginaw Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan office for Lotería night!
We had Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and future Girl Scouts sharing space, snacks, culture, music and vibes. Every girl left with awesome prizes, read the Girl Scout Promise in Spanish, and celebrated the end of Latine Heritage Month.
Some tried horchata, others danced to reggaeton, some added loved ones to our office ofrenda and all left with a smile on their face.
I love being able to share my culture while building girls of courage, confidence and character. I love that I have colleagues that are willing to go along with all of my ideas and even brave enough to call the cards in Spanish. Thank you to my team and to my husband (whom I voluntold) that helped with the event. And thank you to my job that lets me celebrate and bring representation through intentional programming.

We’re excited to have the Girl Scouts joining us for Mobile Monday and bringing cookies to gift to our families!

That’s right — families will be able to receive Girl Scout cookies FREE while supplies last.

We love seeing our community partners find creative ways to show up for families. This is more than an event — it’s a community-driven effort to connect families with resources, support, and a little joy along the way.
