Yesterday, members of the Saginaw County Young Professionals Network attended the Regional YPN Luncheon at the Dow Championship, hosted at the Midland Country Club during this week's LPGA tournament!

Thank you to our friends at MYPros (Midland Young Professionals) for bringing together young professionals from across the Great Lakes Bay Region for another great event.

From the tournament's economic impact throughout the region to its commitment to sustainability and waste reduction efforts, we gained a behind-the-scenes look at what makes the Dow Championship such a unique event. Gurleen also shared her experiences on tour and why Midland—and the Dow Championship's team format—stands out from other tournaments.

YPN MEMBER SPOTLIGHT! 🌟

We want to highlight YPs who make our organization successful, and today we are highlighting Lily Varney!

When did you join the YPN & why?
I joined the YPN in 2025. I was looking to be more involved in the community and meet new people!

What is your favorite YPN event?
My favorite YPN event is Books and Brews, the silent book club! I love reading, so this is a fun way to discover new books while also chitchatting with new people!

What is one thing you hope to gain from the YPN?
I hope to build strong relationships within the community, create networking and business growth opportunities, and continue developing as a leader and business owner.

What is one thing you are passionate about and why?
I’m passionate about helping businesses grow through social media and creative marketing. I enjoy finding ways to help brands connect with their audience in an authentic way!

We’re glad to have Lily as part of YPN and look forward to seeing her continued impact in the community!
