Wednesdays call for a YPN MEMBER SPOTLIGHT! 🌟

We want to highlight YPs who make our organization successful, and today we are highlighting Ryan Landrey!

When did you join the YPN & why?
I joined when I first started with CAN Council a few years ago, like most, it was to get more connected. I really wanted to get to know people around my age that cared so deeply about their community as well as immerse myself in a community that I grew up in and was away from for so long.

What is your favorite YPN event?
The Halloween Event – love seeing all the fun costumes!

What is one thing you hope to gain from the YPN?
One thing I hope to gain from the YPN is new connections. Sometimes walking into a space with tons of new people can feel intimidating. But everyone is welcoming and wants to get to know you to where you feel like you’ve been apart of the group for a long time. It’s a great feeling!

What is one thing you are passionate about, and why?
One thing I am passionate about is helping people, whether that is in my job with children or families, or with people in my community. I love to teach, and seeing someone work through something or just need a space vent is what makes me feel like I am making a true impact.

We’re glad to have Ryan as part of the Saginaw YPN and look forward to seeing his continued impact in the community!

Thank you, Duperon Corporation, for shining a light on this important moment for Michigan’s children and families. These four new laws strengthen Children Trust Michigan and the prevention work happening in communities across the state, including right here in Arenac, Bay, Huron, and Saginaw counties. We’re proud to be a local prevention partner and grateful to everyone who helped move this legislation forward. 💙

Coming together to make a difference for Michigan’s children and families.

Duperon Corporation recognizes the bipartisan effort behind four bills signed into law to strengthen Children Trust Michigan and its mission to prevent child abuse and neglect.

This legislation helps Children Trust Michigan expand its reach, strengthen prevention efforts, and put support in place for families before they reach a crisis.

Thank you to Governor Gretchen Whitmer for signing this important legislation into law, to Senator Kevin Hertel and Senator John Cherry and Bryan Posthumus - State Representative for sponsoring the bills, and to Senator Kevin Daley and Senator Sam Singh for helping move them forward. We also acknowledge the Michigan lawmakers from both parties who came together to advance this important effort.

We recognize the leadership and commitment of Amy Tattrie Loepp, Past Chair of Children Trust Michigan; Jason Griffin, Current Chair; Suzanne Greenberg, Executive Director; and Tammy Bernier, Chair of the Strategy Committee, in advancing this mission.

🎃 Boo Bash is coming to downtown Bay City! 🦇

CAN Council and Studio 23/The Arts Center are teaming up for a free Halloween afternoon for families on Saturday, October 24, from 11 AM to 2 PM. Kids can pick up a goodie bag, get creative with art projects, and participate in a scavenger hunt!

Our Rolling Family Resource Center will be on-site too, so stop by to say hi and learn about the resources available in your neighborhood.

Costumes are encouraged, and we can't wait to see them! 👻

Earlier this week, CAN Council staff attended the 2026 Rescue Ministries Anniversary Gala. We had a wonderful evening supporting our friends and celebrating the work they do for our community. A huge thank you to Dan Streeter and his team, who make an impact every day for families who need a little extra support. 💙 We're so grateful for the partnership we've built together and the difference it makes for parents and children.
