Today, September 24, 2026, the Tri-City (MI) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated joins Links members, community leaders and guests from across the Great Lakes Bay Region for Michigan Links Day at the State Capitol.
📍 Anderson Building – Mackinaw Room

Michigan Links Day creates space for meaningful conversations about state government, public policy and the issues affecting Michigan communities. The day includes legislative and executive briefings, informed discussions, and opportunities to connect with public officials and community voices.
Featured guests and voices include:
• The Honorable Garlin Gilchrist, Lieutenant Governor
• State Representative Amos O’Neal, Michigan’s 94th House District
• Pamela Pugh, President, Michigan State Board of Education
• Political strategist Mario Morrow
• Alexis Wiley, CEO of Moment Strategies and former news anchor
• Legislative and public affairs representatives

This gathering also recognizes an important moment in Michigan history as the Michigan Legislative Black Caucus marks its 50th anniversary, highlighting the ongoing connection between civic engagement, public policy and community voice.

For nearly 80 years, The Links, Incorporated has brought together professional women committed to service and strengthening communities. The Tri-City Chapter continues that tradition through initiatives supporting education, youth development, STEM, health and civic engagement throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region.

Michigan Links Day is about more than being present at the Capitol—it is about being informed, asking questions, building relationships and making sure community voices have a place in the conversation.
