Program Description:
The Neighb Summer Program provides a structured, engaging, and safe environment where youth can learn, grow, and stay active throughout the summer. Participants will experience daily sports and recreation, hands-on learning, and skill-building activities designed to promote confidence, teamwork, and leadership.

Key Activities Include:
Daily Sports & Recreation (Basketball, baseball, hockey, tennis, volleyball, drills, team play, fitness)
STEM (Science experiments & engineering)
Art & Creative Expression
Cooking & Kitchen Skills
Hair & Personal Care
Build & Hands-On Projects
Entrepreneurship & Youth Marketplace Showcase

Meals Provided: Lunch and snack served daily
Program Highlights:
Hands-on learning experiences
Safe and structured environment
Focus on teamwork, leadership, and personal growth
Final Youth Showcase & Marketplace

The Neighb - MI community garden is continuing to grow and thrive 🌱

The youth are still checking on it, watering, watching the progress, and learning patience and responsibility through the process. It’s amazing to see something they planted continue to grow day by day.

Last month, the ACT-SO Competition took place at The Neighb - MI, where over 20 students registered to compete and showcase their talents, creativity, and academic excellence.

We are proud to announce that 8 outstanding young people qualified to travel to Chicago this July, all expenses paid, to represent Saginaw at the National ACT-SO Competition.

In addition, once obligations are met, we also plan to take all of the young people who competed so they can experience and be inspired by this incredible opportunity.

Huge thanks to our dedicated judges and the few small but mighty team of volunteers whose passion for empowering youth made this event possible. ❤️
