Educate yourself
Teach your children
Don't accept regression

What is history so important?

The best definition of history is the disciplined study and interpretation of the human past, analyzing evidence to construct and understand narratives of change over time, connecting past events to present realities and future possibilities, making it both an art (storytelling) and a science (research).

We need to understand how change happens, and what it can mean for our future.

Don't let anyone convince you that knowing the facts, understanding the struggle, and creating a better future are not interconnected.

Day 2: When Diversity, Equality and Inclusion are "bad words," there are serious problems within our foundational institutions. We believe that these words are the very foundation of this Great Nation and our future "under God" depends on us practicing these concepts and teaching them not only to our children but to our communities. We emplore you to make a commitment this month:

1. Make an effort everyday to publicly demonstrate these values,
2. Find an opportunity to teach a child what they mean, and
3. Reflect how these ideas have made a difference in your life.

Our ancestors envisioned our present as they toiled in fields. We now must have faith for a great future for our children despite the present circumstances. Faith without works is dead; so get to work!
