Stand down - Denton 10/24/24
Thursday, Oct 24th 0800-1300 hours is a "Stand- Down for Veterans in need of support. 25 + vendors & food 🥘
Not just for Homeless Veterans. They start one off with a duffle bag & you fill it up with/ military boots, socks, winter jackets, etc.

Our SGT-AT-ARMS, Larry will be there. He will debrief us & we will do a write-up for the LegionTimes magazine. Take a few pictures Sgt-at-Arms!

Saginaw Post 467 is proud to be partners with Penske Logistics to provide an American Flag at every Penske location in America. See attached article and pictures.

Members from District 12 raised the 30-foot flag at the Penske Logistics Truck Co. in Fort Worth and set up a membership table for veteran employees.

Veterans Day 2022. Saginaw’s Veterans Day Celebration.

I happened to look at the clock today when it read 11:11. It was the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th month. Which was in 1918 the Armistice was signed ending the Great War, the war to end all wars. World War I. But as we know it did not end all wars. Today November 11th we celebrate our our Veterans from the first shot at Bunker Hill to the War on Terrorism. Brave men and women have put their lives, families and futures on the line to keep this country safe.
Today we face a new threat, in Ukraine and Israel that again threaten world peace. American lives have been lost and our military is once again poised to step in and Defend Democracy.
When I was 19 years old I took an oath to defend this country against all elements foreign and domestic. I am now 62 and my oath has not expired.
No one prays harder for peace than those of us who have served to keep it. Remember that today is more than just a holiday it’s a call to unite this country to defend the hard won peace. God Bless my fellow veterans and God Bless America.
