Meet Lila, one of our tiniest survivors 🥹💕 Lila is a 7-year-old Pomeranian who was rescued from an unimaginable fate in East Asia. She and 16 other Pomeranians were no longer wanted by their breeder, so instead of finding them loving homes, he planned to sell them to a butcher for their meat. 💔

Today, Lila and her 16 little friends are safe at our Beijing shelter. But being safe isn't the same as being home. 🥹

After spending her life being used for breeding and nearly losing her life when she was no longer profitable, Lila deserves to know what it feels like to be someone's cherished little girl. A warm bed, gentle hands, and a family who will love her for the rest of her days. ❤️

Let's make sure the next chapter of Lila's life is the happiest one yet. 🐾

We have the BEST news to share… our sweet girl is finally home! 🥹❤️ After a long week in the hospital, Sweet Pea is back where she belongs, surrounded by love. She's resting, regaining her strength, and is SO happy to be home with her family.

We are still waiting for her urine culture results to find out if the treatment was successful. 🙏🏽 As many of you know, Sweet Pea was left paralyzed after suffering horrific abuse in East Asia's dog meat trade. Sadly, paralyzed dogs face a lifelong risk of recurring bladder and kidney infections, which can quickly become life-threatening.

But here's what I know… Sweet Pea survived the unthinkable in East Asia, and we refuse to let a UTI take her from us now. ❤️ We will keep fighting for this precious girl, no matter what it takes. She's come too far, and she has so much life and love left to experience.

To everyone who prayed, checked in, and stood beside Sweet Pea through this scary week… THANK YOU. Your love means more than you know. ❤️

Our sweet Beethoven had his brain surgery. 🥺🙏🏽 This little guy is only 8 months old, and he has already been through so much.

We didn’t raise enough to fully cover the cost of his surgery and aftercare, but we made the decision to move forward anyway. We knew that if we didn’t, we would likely lose him. And we just couldn’t give up on this beautiful little Golden boy.

Sometimes rescue means making really hard decisions before you know how everything is going to work out. This was one of those moments. We took a leap of faith for Beethoven and trusted that somehow, with the help of kind people who care, we would find a way.

If you are able to help with Beethoven’s surgery and aftercare expenses, we would be incredibly grateful. Truly, every donation helps. And if you can’t donate, sharing his story means just as much. The more people who see his sweet face and hear what he has been through, the better chance we have of getting him the support he still needs.

🐾 Kronk’s Korner ✨ Words of Wisdom 🐾 I heard my girl Sweet Pea was feeling sad in the hospital… and I thought, “Say no more. I’m on my way.” ❤️

Sometimes in life, you get homesick… but not for a place. You get homesick for your person... or in our case, your special someone who somehow makes everything feel a little safer, a little happier, and a whole lot more like home. I’m glad I could be that someone for Sweet Pea today… because she’s that someone for me, too. 🥹🐾

So today’s words of wisdom are simple: Sometimes “home” isn’t a place. Sometimes it’s the one who shows up when you need them most. ❤️

Please keep praying for my pal Sweet Pea so she can get better and come back home with me very soon. I miss my girl.

Sweet Pea Update 🙏🏽 For those of you who don’t know Sweet Pea’s story, she is one incredibly brave little survivor.

We rescued Sweet Pea from East Asia’s dog meat trade. She was already paralyzed from the waist down, and her left hind leg had been ground down to the bone from dragging herself inside a rusty crate. Sadly, the damage was so severe that her leg had to be amputated.

Thanks to some incredibly kind donors who sponsored her flight, Sweet Pea finally made it home to the USA in July. I’m the Co-Founder of Run 2 The Rescue, and somewhere along the way, this little girl completely stole my heart… so I adopted her into my own family. ❤️

Right now, Sweet Pea is hospitalized with a serious UTI that is resistant to every antibiotic except one. Paralyzed dogs are especially vulnerable to recurrent UTIs, and unfortunately, these infections can become very dangerous.

I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am for every prayer, message, donation, and person who continues to love and support our girl.

We received a little bit of hope today: Sweet Pea may be able to come home Monday if her repeat culture shows improvement. 🙏🏽

So please keep praying that this antibiotic is working, that her infection continues to clear, and that our sweet girl can finally come home where she belongs.

She has survived so much already... So a UTI is not taking her out. She's too strong for that 💜

Sweet Pea is currently in the ICU fighting a very serious UTI. 💔 Her infection is resistant to almost every antibiotic, except for one... and unfortunately, that medication has to be given intravenously. She’s already been hospitalized for a few days, and I’ve been visiting her every day.

Today, I brought her stroller so I could take her outside for a little fresh air and sunshine. But our girl was so exhausted that she curled up in it and fell asleep. 🥺 I sat beside her for two hours while she snored away.

The hospital is noisy, and I don’t think she’s been getting much restful sleep. So for those two hours, I just let her rest.

Today, I’m not asking for anything except your prayers. 🙏🏽 Please pray that this antibiotic works, that Sweet Pea’s little body keeps fighting, and that our girl can finally come home.

It’s because of your love and support that Sweet Pea was able to make it all the way to the USA and have this chance at life. Now we just need to surround her with prayers that this treatment works.

Come on, Sweet Pea. You’ve fought so hard to get here. Keep fighting, sweet girl. 💜

He's just a baby. 💔 This is Beethoven, and he is only 8 months old. Beethoven was dumped outside our shelter while suffering from massive seizures. We rushed him to our veterinarian, where an MRI revealed swelling and compression affecting the nerves in his brain. Tragically, the swelling was caused by a blow to his head.

That trauma has left this sweet baby blind and deaf. He is living in darkness... scared, confused, and unable to understand what is happening around him.

Beethoven’s condition is extremely serious. He needs brain surgery to relieve the pressure on his brain, and without it, he may not survive.

We are asking for your help to give this innocent puppy the chance he deserves. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings Beethoven one step closer to the surgery that could save his life.
