Today, we proudly celebrate the **225th Anniversary of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, USA**.

On May 31, 1801, the Supreme Council of the Thirty-Third Degree was established in Charleston, South Carolina, becoming the first Supreme Council of the Scottish Rite in the world. For 225 years, the Southern Jurisdiction has illuminated the path of Masonic education, leadership, philosophy, and service, inspiring generations of Freemasons to seek truth, practice virtue, and labor for the betterment of humanity.

As Scottish Rite Masons, we honor the vision and dedication of those who came before us, whose work laid the foundation for an enduring legacy of enlightenment, brotherhood, and personal growth. Their commitment to the principles of liberty, equality, tolerance, and justice continues to guide our journey today.

May we recommit ourselves to the timeless lessons of the Rite and carry its light forward for future generations.

As Memorial Day weekend begins, take a moment to remember why this holiday exists.

While many gather with friends and family, others carry memories of those who never made it home.

Some gave years.
Some gave youth.
Some gave dreams they would never live to see.

They stood watch in places most never will, carrying burdens most never fully understand, so future generations could live in freedom.

This weekend, enjoy your family. Fly the flag. Share a meal. Laugh loudly. Live fully.
But do not forget the men and women who paid the price for the freedoms we often take for granted.

Memorial Day is not about politics.
It is not about division.
It is about remembrance.

To the fallen, we honor you.
To the families left behind, we remember your sacrifice.
And to the living, may we strive to live worthy of what was given for us.

This weekend, our Br. Richard Fisher attended the Valley of Tucson Scottish Rite 2026 Spring Reunion and became a 32° Scottish Rite Mason with 16 other fellow Master Masons from as far away as Flagstaff. Congratulations to the Spring 2026 Class!

It's a great day to be a Freemason when you get to present a brother with his 60 year service pin and certificate. This doesn't happen very often! The Safford Masonic Family conducted their annual Dolan Campbell Memorial Clothe-a-Child event on Saturday, December 13th. Through raffle ticket sales and individual donations, the Safford Masonic Family raised over $12,000 to help about 100 children get winter and regular clothing and help local school nurses get much needed supplies. We thank everyone who was involved and the people and business who donated to the worthy cause.
