For nearly a decade, MGRMC nurses have provided hands-on Stop the Bleed training at every school district in Graham and Greenlee counties. This important program teaches students and staff how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and properly apply a tourniquet — simple, life-saving skills that can make all the difference in an emergency.

Through support from United Way and the MGRMC Foundation, tourniquets have been purchased and distributed to help strengthen emergency preparedness in our local schools.

Beyond the classroom, these dedicated nurses also volunteer their time to educate community groups, churches, and civic organizations — helping build a safer, more prepared community for all.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Shanna Cluff, RN, Trauma Program Coordinator, and our outstanding ER nurses for their continued leadership, service, and commitment to protecting our communities. We are proud to support this life-saving work.

The Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center Foundation is deeply grateful to the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation for their generous gift in support of our Cardiac Catheterization Lab.

This meaningful investment helps ensure that patients in the Gila Valley can receive advanced cardiac care close to home—without having to travel long distances during some of life’s most critical moments. Their generosity strengthens our ability to serve our community with the technology, equipment, and care our patients deserve.

We are incredibly thankful for the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation’s commitment to investing in rural healthcare and helping Mt. Graham Regional Medical Center continue to provide high-quality, life-saving services right here where we live and work.

From all of us at MGRMC Foundation and the patients we serve—thank you for supporting heart care in the Gila Valley.

This December, luminarias will once again line the sidewalks and main entrance of Mount Graham Regional Medical Center — glowing in honor of those we love and in remembrance of those we’ve lost. Each flickering light will stand as a symbol of hope, healing, and the strength of our community.

You can help us light the hospital with hope by purchasing a lantern in honor or memory of someone special. Each lantern represents an individual you’d like to honor, and their name will be displayed on the front lawn near the hospital’s main entrance, shining brightly throughout the Christmas season.

$100 – New lantern
$75 – Renewal from last year

All proceeds benefit the MGRMC Foundation, which funds essential projects that directly impact patient care — from new fetal monitoring equipment in the OB Department and upgraded treatment chairs in the Cancer Center, to advanced imaging technology, ER monitoring systems, and nursing scholarships.

Over the years, the Foundation has ensured that every donation directly strengthens patient care, enhances comfort, and provides critical resources hospital-wide. Mount Graham Regional Medical Center is truly the heart of the Gila Valley — a place every family depends on at some point in their lives. By supporting the Foundation, you help make sure it remains a place of healing and hope for generations to come.

When you light a lantern, you’re not just remembering someone you love — you’re helping light the way for healing, compassion, and exceptional care in our community.

Be part of something meaningful this Christmas. Honor the legacy of someone who touched your life by helping their light shine on — bringing hope, comfort, and healing to others. Together, we can light MGRMC with love and remembrance this Christmas season.
