Birthday Blowout: A birthday comes once a year but having the party of your dreams can prov
ide a lifetime of smiles and memories. For the children involved with CaLeigh’s Gene Foundation, the goal of the Birthday Blowout program is to provide resources, which will aid their families in planning and providing the dream birthday celebration that their child desires and deserves. CaLeigh’s Closet: Have you ever opened a closet and been amazed at some of the exciting discoveries you uncover? Can you imagine a bottomless closet full of treasures just waiting to be found? The goal of CaLeigh’s Closet is to always have something new and exciting to share with our families throughout the year. And due to the on-going generosity of our donors, the door to CaLeigh’s Closet is always open and full! From basic needs items such as clothing and hygiene products to coloring books and toys, opening the door to CaLeigh’s Closet is sure to bring a smile to your face and joy to your heart. Out and About: In our ever-changing society, providing families with a healthier and more positive way to bond and create lasting and special family memories is a necessity. The ongoing, Out and About program is designed to provide families who have a child with a chronic disability the opportunity to get out of the house and through a variety of activities/experiences, enjoy themselves and each other. Please…Just Ask CaLeigh!: Numerous doctor visits, medications, equipment changes, therapies and/or hospitalizations are just a few of the potential everyday stressors experienced by children with a chronic disability and their families. Not only can those everyday life stressors be challenging but they can also be financially exhausting. At CaLeigh’s Gene Foundation, Inc., being able to help lessen that stress and bring a smile to the face of a child with a chronic disability is key to our mission. “Please…Just Ask CaLeigh! operates as a mini grant program and is designed to, pending available funding, aid in the complete or partial funding of a needed and/or wanted educational/ therapeutic device or program for the sole use of the child with a chronic disability.
