Collective grief is the shared emotional experience of mourning that occurs within a group, community, or society following a significant loss or traumatic event.

This September 11th marks the 25th anniversary of one of those days in history that will forever be remembered for the tragic loss of 2977 lives, and as a turning point in history. As the world remembers today, know that you’re not alone in your grief. Grief and the grieving process is as unique as the person, and that the process is not linear. There is no timeline. 25 years ago the world changed, and it is still grieving. It’s ok to still grief what was lost, how the world changed, and what would have been.

And since milestone anniversaries often come with more media coverage, documentaries, and interviews.
