🌈💜 Thank you, Sacramento!! 💜🌈

Because of everyone who attended Sacramento Rainbow Chamber’s Drag Queen Bingo, we can continue recruiting CASA volunteers who provide one-on-one support and advocacy for youth in care. ❤️

A CASA volunteer can make a lifelong difference during one of the most challenging times in a young person’s life.

✨ Swipe to see how excited we were to receive these funds and continue supporting youth in care!

📢 California’s budget decisions are happening now, and CASA funding is on the line.

💙 CASA volunteers provide advocacy, stability, and support for children and youth in foster care when they need it most. Help us continue this life-changing work by contacting your state representatives and urging them to restore $20 million in annual funding for CASA programs across California.

Meet Athena! She has been both a staff member and Volunteer Advocate at CASA Sacramento for the past 3 years. During that time, she has served foster youth ranging from infants to teenagers.

Fun fact: Athena was the first advocate to serve in CASA Sacramento’s Early Childhood Advocacy Program, which supports foster youth ages 0–5. She is currently advocating for two children under the age of 2.

Right now, more than 40 children are waiting for a CASA advocate. If you’re interested in making a difference in the life of a child, visit sacramentocasa.org to learn more and apply for our Summer Training.

CASA Volunteer Natalia (left) recently met with Case Supervisor Alexandra (right), who shared how dedicated and passionate Natalia is in supporting her youth as he prepares for independence and turns 21 next year. Turning 21 is a major milestone, as it marks the age when youth officially age out of foster care.

Natalia has been a longtime friend of CASA, and we are incredibly grateful for her ongoing commitment to both her youth and our organization. Thank you, Natalia, for continuing to make a difference!

Please help us welcome Class #113! Last night, 13 individuals took their oath and committed themselves to serving as Court Appointed Special Advocates for Sacramento County. With 2 more advocates being sworn in soon, our class will grow to a total of 15 new advocates.

Thank you to our newest advocates, and best of luck as you begin the important work of helping change the trajectory of some of our community’s most vulnerable youth.

A special thank you to Judge Lindquist for swearing in our advocates, and to the families and loved ones who came to support them. Thank you for sharing your loved ones with CASA so they can make a meaningful difference in the lives of foster youth.
