Roll call for the Friday Roundup! ✨
🤓 Our Membership team attended the UC Davis Small Business Expo to speak on a panel alongside UC Davis and other local Chambers. We connected with small businesses from all around the region to share ways the Metro Chamber can help them connect and succeed.
🏟️ The Chamber got to connect with our Partners from Republic Services and the Wilton Rancheria in Celebration of Native American Heritage Night. The Republic came out victorious 1-0! Featured are Josh, Chairman Jesus Taragno and the Chairman's Wife, Reina Tarango in the top picture and Josh with Collin Wallace with Republic Services in the bottom picture.
📄 Thursday was Leadership Class Day where attendees got an inside tour of Delta Print to learn about Business, Innovation, and Workforce!
⚾ Andrew and Josh caught an A’s game hosted by McCarthy Building Company as part of a generous raffle prize from our last After Hours mixer. Andrew chatted with Chamber Ambassador Lorraine Armijos. Josh, Andrew, Tyler Charrette, and Jason Dreier all enjoyed the evening at the ballpark.
🍪 In the office, we celebrated Josh’s birthday with some cookies and ice cream.
⚡ We had engagement meetings across town. Cameron and Josh met with Collins Electrical. Josh and Andrew visited with Gina Lujan (former Chamber board member) and Celia Castro of SacMade and gave them a tour of their space in Oak Park.
💎 We also had some visitors to the office! Robert connected with Jim Alves to say hello and see some of the changes happening inside. This visit also gave Robert and Jim a chance to connect on all things Chamber, business, and SMUD. Kristi Lopez from Google came in to meet with our team and was welcomed to the Chamber as an official new member!
