Please join us for the last of our Speaker Series before we break for the summer,

with our featured guest for the May art lecture,

Ronald Peetz.

Wednesday, May 20, 2026

1:30 pm

Crocker Art Museum Auditorium Crocker Art Museum

216 O Street

Sacramento, CA 95814

Sacramento-based artist Ronald Peetz is a rule breaker. He has something to say, and he says it with his vibrant, often humorous, usually thought-provoking and always surprising art.

“I want to slow people down. That’s why I put stuff on the floor. That’s why I make stuff out of every material that you can think of, from duct tape to X-rays. I am what I am. I’m different. Nobody works like me,” says Peetz.

The monthly Speaker Series is FREE to Kingsley members. Please reserve your ticket for Ronald Peetz at the Crocker Art Museum website (link in bio).

The Kingsley Art Club invites you to the next in their lecture series: interdisciplinary artist, activist, curator and educator Jessica Wimbley .wimbley

**Wednesday, November 19, 2025 • 1:30 pm •**

**Crocker Art Museum **

Ms. Wimbley received her BFA in Painting from Rhode Island School of Design and MFA in Visual Arts, UC Davis and an MA in Arts Management from Claremont Graduate University.

One of Ms. Wimbley’s biggest inspirations was her mother, "*She was my initial facilitator in art experiences, taking me to galleries, museums, and art classes. But more importantly, we engaged in slow looking together. We compared and contrasted, searched for ourselves and others, and asked questions about what we saw. I inherited her tendency to wonder and wander- letting curiosity take us on unexpected journeys.”*

Ms. Wimbley has been in dozens of group shows throughout the country, receiving critical reviews in Hyperallergic, Art and Cake, LA Weekly, Huffington Post and the Los Angeles Times. Her many artworks and shows include the mixed-media exhibits, *We Were Who We Were Waiting For* and *Before You Now: Capturing the Self in Portraiture* and **her work was first featured in, *Biomythography: Secret Poetry Hidden Angers* at Claremont Graduate University. Her exhibit, *Belle Jet and Cabinet Cards* at the College of the Canyons Art Gallery Santa Clarita captures Ms. Wimbley’s works during the last seven years and merges memory, biology, culture and history.

The monthly Speaker Series is FREE to Kingsley members. Tickets for Jessica Wimbley can be reserved at the Crocker web page (link in bio). If you are not a member, consider joining the Kingsley (link in bio) today! Following Jessica’s talk, members will want to stay for a Meet & Greet The Artist with refreshments.

Mark your calendar and click on our link in bio for the Crocker Art Museum’s reservation page to get your reservation in now.
