California Budget & Policy Center

California Budget & Policy Center We are working to create a just and equitable California where communities have the resources they need to thrive.

In 2025, we're celebrating 30 years of advancing equity and opportunity for Californians with low and middle incomes. Our vision is for all Californians to participate fully in the state’s economic, social, and political life. We believe that when California builds wealth and invests in people – especially those who have yet to share in the state’s prosperity – we all benefit.

The Budget Center hosted our annual Policy Insights conference — with nearly 500 leaders, advocates, researchers, communicators, and organizers gathered from across the state.

It was a powerful, energizing, and often sobering day of connection and conversation. Together, we explored how our movement can fight against federal threats and continue working toward an equitable and just California.

Thank you for your continued commitment to equity and opportunity. Let’s keep moving forward — together.
