Del Paso Heights Growers' Alliance Del Paso Heights Growers' Alliance is a food cooperative operating and maintaining community gardens

We enable local residents to learn how to live healthier through sustainable food production. We provide educational and experimental workshops at our garden center for families. Members of the DPHGA are BIPOC who come together to learn and share methods and best practices for growing healthy food and leading urban farming, forestry, and aquaponics workshops. The intention of the garden is to focu

s on growing root vegetables and those crops that are non- perishable and can be stored for a long period of time. The garden specializes in growing fruits and vegetables and teaching sustainable practices for farming production, harvesting, and storage techniques of fruits and vegetable crops, especially roots, nuts, and Asian specialty vegetables. These staples are very beneficial for the community and our urban farm sites function as a cellar for root vegetables such as potatoes, onions, garlic, beans, carrots, beets, and a host of other healthy vegetables. The farm sites also produce, process, and store a variety of culinary herbs for the community to be able to have access to and practice using them in food production as a means to limit sodium consumption by substituting flavor with fresh and dried herbs.

Thank you to Olivia from for blessing the space with the drums. We sang farmer songs indigenous to the continent to get the vibe right and bless the seed planting ceremony and the rhythmic heart beat of the drums kept the mood sweet for the day. Thank you with for pruning the carob tree and providing training to BE.
