Big news for the community college movement—

On behalf of the NCCHC Concilio, we celebrate Dr. Mike Muñoz on his election to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC).

Dr. Muñoz has long been a driving force behind advancing opportunity, representation, and student achievement across our nation’s community colleges. His leadership within NCCHC and his contributions to national conversations on equity and institutional transformation have made a lasting impact.

This appointment comes at a pivotal time for higher education, and we are excited to see his voice help shape policy and practice at the national level—especially in ways that continue to uplift Latino/a/x students and historically underserved communities.

We are proud to stand alongside him and look forward to the continued impact of his leadership on the AACC Board.

Join us in congratulating Dr. Muñoz on this significant achievement! 👏
