Performer Announcement 🏳️‍⚧️ ✨

Rapper, poet, and multidisciplinary artist Bobby Sanchez brings truth, resistance, and storytelling rooted in Indigenous and q***r identity. As a trans and Two-Spirit artist with roots in Ayacucho, Peru, her work moves through hip-hop, spoken word, and performance—holding space for grief, rage, survival, and liberation.

This isn’t just music. This is movement. ✊🏽

Catch Bobby live at Elk Grove Pride 2026 💫

This year’s theme, “Pride Reimagined,” is a call to dream beyond oppression, especially in a time marked by attacks on LGBTQIA+ rights, systemic racism, and global struggles impacting our communities. Together, we root into solidarity and reimagine what’s possible.

In two days (Jan 8-9, 2026), the Islamic Regime of Iran slaughtered more than 36,000 peaceful protestors, the majority of them people under age 30.

One month later, local verified sources estimate the death toll is upwards of 90,000.

Brutal crackdowns. Communication blackouts. State-sanctioned violent suppression and extortion.

The people of Iran need our voices and support now more than ever.

We are in solidarity with the Iranian people for a Free Iran!

There is too much violence and too much grief in our communities. We are mourning lives lost to federal immigration enforcement and standing in solidarity with all immigrants and refugees.

We refuse this violence. We choose care, connection, and collective liberation.

Our Call to Action is: Do what you need to be a whole person. Whatever you need is the work.

If you have capacity, there are ways to organize. ✊🏾📢

If you don’t or can’t, that’s valid and ok too. Rest, both are necessary.

We will MELT ICE with our light, our fire, and our joy. ☀️

SAVE THE DATE! 🌈

We’re excited to announce that the 5th Annual Elk Grove Pride will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Laguna Town Hall!

This year’s Elk Grove Pride centers the powerful theme: “Pride Reimagined.” Elk Grove Pride has always been about creating our own, moving away from capitalism and toward collective liberation. We have never waited for permission. We build, we imagine, and we create together.

In the midst of ongoing violence and global struggles, including Palestine, Congo, Haiti, and beyond, we remain committed to healing, resistance, and collective care. Pride, for us, is a practice of community, resilience, and transformation.

Together, we honor the strength and courage it takes to rise against oppression and continue building paths toward justice, equity, and liberation for all. 🌈✊🏽

We are also inviting more community members to join the Elk Grove Pride 2026 Planning Committee! Please fill out the form if you’re interested in helping shape this year’s celebration.

“No PRIDE for some of us without liberation for all of us.”

2025 asked us to turn inward, moving through grief, strengthening our relationships, and rebuilding trust with one another. Organizing requires trust. Healing requires trust.

As we step into 2026, we carry this wisdom forward while celebrating 9 years of community, care, and collective becoming. Creating portals of healing together. ❤️‍🩹
