The vision of this group is to uplift the identities of the Filipinx LGBTQIA community in Sacramento.

After nearly a decade of building community, Sac Fil is entering a season of rest, reflection, and reimagining.

As part of this transition, Nikki Abeleda (They/She/Siya) will be stepping back from the Sac Fil Core Team to make space for new leadership and focus on other areas of growth, including expanding Filipinx mental health resources in the Sacramento region.

This transition reflects Sac Fil’s commitment to sustainability, community care, and trusting that the collective will continue to evolve with the love, intention, and care that have guided it for the past 9.5 years.

To everyone who has supported Sac Fil, community members, volunteers, collaborators, donors, and kasamas, thank you for helping create a space where Q***r and Trans Filipinx people could find belonging, joy, healing, and connection.

Thank you for showing up for EG Pride: Pride Reimagined. ✨

This year, our community came together to celebrate Q***r and Trans joy, uplift BIPOC LGBTQIA+ voices, and imagine a future beyond oppression.

During the event, two individuals expressed anti-LGBTQIA+ and hyper-religious rhetoric. In response, our community safety team mobilized to support attendees, check in with those impacted, and help maintain a space grounded in collective care, accountability, and liberation.

We are deeply grateful for the ways our community showed up for one another. Rather than allowing disruption to define the day, we chose solidarity, care, and joy.

Pride exists because LGBTQIA+ people have always organized in the face of opposition. We remain committed to strengthening our community safety practices and ensuring EG Pride continues to be a space where our communities can gather, celebrate, and exist authentically.

Thank you to every attendee, volunteer, performer, vendor, community partner, and sponsor who made this event possible. We couldn’t do this work without you.

Performer Announcement 🏳️‍⚧️ ✨

Rapper, poet, and multidisciplinary artist Bobby Sanchez brings truth, resistance, and storytelling rooted in Indigenous and q***r identity. As a trans and Two-Spirit artist with roots in Ayacucho, Peru, her work moves through hip-hop, spoken word, and performance—holding space for grief, rage, survival, and liberation.

This isn’t just music. This is movement. ✊🏽

In two days (Jan 8-9, 2026), the Islamic Regime of Iran slaughtered more than 36,000 peaceful protestors, the majority of them people under age 30.

One month later, local verified sources estimate the death toll is upwards of 90,000.

Brutal crackdowns. Communication blackouts. State-sanctioned violent suppression and extortion.

The people of Iran need our voices and support now more than ever.

We honor the legacy of Anthony “Tony” Javellana (Annoying Tony / DJ BWISIT), a beloved Trans Filipinx creative, activist, and member of Sacramento Filipinx LGBTQIA+. This fund uplifts young artists who use creativity as expression, healing, community building, and resistance.

4th Annual Spring Into Wellness - A BIQTPOC Health & Wellness Fair

Recognizing National LGBTQ Health Awareness Week

Love Liberated and Sacramento Filipinx LGBTQIA+ will highlight community health and wellness resources, businesses, practitioners, and nonprofit organizations that serve Black, Indigenous (BI), Q***r and Trans (QT), People of Color (POC) of Sacramento, CA

We’ll have BIQTPOC-centered health and wellness resources, food, music, giveaways, yoga, sound healing and more!

This event is FREE to the community. Please be mindful that this event is BIQTPOC driven and we welcome allies to attend the event.

If you support local, community driven events that elevate the health and wellness of BIQTPOC in the greater Sacramento area, please consider donating to Love Liberated and/or Sacramento Filipinx LGBTQIA+ to sustain further efforts. Donation links can be found in each bio.
