As a nonprofit organization serving the LGBTQ+ community and our allies, we are committed to fostering spaces that are welcoming, respectful, inclusive, and safe for everyone who participates in our programs and events.
We are writing to inform our community that a volunteer (Sister Bon Bon aka Sister Perri Menopausal) is no longer affiliated with our organization. This decision followed concerns regarding conduct that was not consistent with our organization's values, expectations, and code of conduct.
We recognize that situations involving community members can be difficult and emotional. Out of respect for privacy and confidentiality, we will not be sharing additional details. We ask our community to refrain from speculation and to approach this matter with compassion for all involved.
As an organization, we have a responsibility to uphold the standards that help our community thrive. When concerns are brought forward, we take them seriously and review them thoughtfully, with a commitment to fairness, accountability, and community well-being.
We are grateful to the volunteers, participants, donors, and supporters who help make our work possible. Your trust is deeply important to us, and we remain dedicated to creating affirming spaces where LGBTQ+ people and our allies can connect, celebrate, and support one another.
