Adopt an Elder Foundation We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid officers or staff. We pride ourselves on retaining only 5% of donations for administrative costs.

The Adopt-an-Elder Foundation’s mission is to provide financial and advocacy assistance to low-income elders that affords them the opportunity to maintain an appropriate degree of independence and quality of life. That means 95% of all donations are distributed directly to our local low-income seniors.

At Adopt an Elder, we often talk about reducing isolation for older adults, but that mission extends beyond the seniors we serve. It is also reflected in the relationships built among the people who believe in the importance of community, dignity, and belonging.

We see the barriers low-income seniors face every day — rising rents, limited income, and long waiting lists for affordable housing. At Adopt an Elder Foundation, our all-volunteer team assist local seniors by bridging the gap for those who have maxed out all other resources. 95% of donations go directly to aid, helping with rent, grocery bills, and care home placement so they can live dignified. It was an inspiring evening filled with stories of compassion and dedication, as we learned about the various ways we all contribute to supporting those in need.
