Granges build community in all kinds of ways.

At Dow's Prairie Grange 505 in McKinleyville, that means game night. Dungeons & Dragons, tabletop roleplaying games, board games, card games, raffles, dinner, and a room full of people spending time together.

That is the value of a Grange hall. It gives a community a place to show up, bring the family, meet friends, and make new ones.

We love seeing Granges across California keep their halls active, useful, and welcoming.

Nice work, Dow’s Prairie Grange #505. Follow California State Grange to learn more about the Grange community.

On this Flag Day 🇺🇸, we honor the American flag as a symbol of unity, service, sacrifice, and the enduring promise of our nation.

For generations, Granges across America have proudly displayed the flag in our halls, carried it in parades, and gathered beneath it as neighbors committed to strengthening our communities and our country. As we look toward America’s 250th anniversary, Flag Day reminds us that patriotism is not just something we celebrate — it is something we live through service, civic involvement, and care for one another.

Today, we proudly fly Old Glory and reflect on the values that continue to bind rural and small-town America together.

Convention is more than a meeting, it is a chance to connect, serve, and grow alongside Grangers from across California.

At the 151st Annual California State Grange Convention, members can meet fellow Grangers, join important conversations, serve on committees, learn more about the work happening across our state, and help shape the future of the California State Grange.

Whether you are a longtime member or attending for the first time, convention is a meaningful way to get involved, build relationships, and bring new ideas back to your local Grange.

Visit castategrange.org/grange-convention to learn more and make plans to attend.

Fun fact: California’s almond bloom is the largest pollination event annually in the world, with beekeepers from most US states supplying nearly a million beehives (close to half the beehives in America) for this event. 🐝

June is National Pollinator Month, and communities across America have a lot to thank pollinators for. Bees, butterflies, birds, bats, and other pollinators help support the crops and plants that feed our families, strengthen local agriculture, and keep ecosystems healthy.

Across the country, pollinators are essential partners in agriculture and food production. Without them, many of the fruits, vegetables, nuts, and flowers we rely on would struggle to grow.

This month, we are celebrating the small creatures that make a big impact on our communities and encouraging Granges everywhere to think about how we can support pollinator-friendly spaces in our hometowns.

How is your Grange supporting pollinators, gardening, conservation, or local agriculture this summer? Share your photos, projects, and ideas in the comments! 🐝🌻
