GUARANTEED INCOME SUPPORT FOR ELIGIBLE TRANSITIONING FOSTER YOUTH

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Foster Youth Guaranteed Income Program is a new guaranteed income initiative administered by United Way California Capital Region on behalf of the City of Sacramento. The program may provide eligible former foster youth with $900 per month to support stability, independence, and their transition into adulthood.
Applications will open October 1, 2026 and close at midnight on October 31, 2026. Individuals may sign up now to receive updates and application information. In this toolkit, you will find multiple ways to take part in getting the word out regarding the Foster Youth Guaranteed Income Program.

Southern California resource

Starting Monday, August 17, 2026, at 8:00 AM, the LA County Development Authority’s Public
Housing Program will begin accepting registrations for 16 Site-Based Waiting Lists, including 10 elderly-designated properties.
Deadline to apply is September 16, 2026 (5:00 PM) and small site lists may close earlier once 1,000 applications are received. Interested individuals may register to one or more lists during this time.

Manage grant invoicing monthly or quarterly and submit to 5 active funders.
Follow up on overdue invoices and collect payments.
Update the line item sheet to have accurate balances for each grant.

Copy and upload invoices into a shared drive.
