Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP)

Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP) MSSP strives to keep seniors safely at home and minimize the risk of nursing home placement. Who is eligible for MSSP services?

A frail elderly individual who:

* is 65 years of age or older

* receives Medi-Cal benefits with no share of cost

* is at risk of nursing home placement

* needs human assistance to safely perform basic personal tasks, such as bathing, cooking, eating, toileting, and taking medications

Anyone can make a MSSP referral. The following information is necessary at the time of referral: legal full na

me, address, social security number, date of birth, contact person, information about the situation, and the level of functioning for the person who is being referred.
