📣 REAA Attends BREA Town Hall Meeting
On September 9th, REAA proudly attended the BREA Town Hall Meeting in Sacramento—represented by Vicki Keeler (Corporate Education Chair), Joe Lynch (Past Corporate President), John Dingeman, and Jim Glickman. Our Corporate President, Lou Rusert, also participated virtually.
This event provided an important forum for appraisers and stakeholders to share input on key topics shaping the future of our profession, including:
✅ Enhancing access to licensure
✅ Strengthening the supervisory pathway
✅ Exploring alternative entry and career growth opportunities
✅ Evaluating California’s mandatory vs. non-mandatory status
✅ Reviewing enforcement statutes and regulatory alignment with USPAP
✅ Improving AMC regulation
✅ Enhancing communication with stakeholders and the public
REAA members appreciated the opportunity to participate and encouraged BREA to continue hosting sessions that invite collaboration and constructive dialogue.
While BREA clarified this meeting was intended to gather input—not to respond to comments, the discussion surfaced several important themes that REAA will continue to explore through upcoming education and advocacy initiatives.
📬 Stay informed: All appraisers are encouraged to subscribe to BREA’s mailing list for future updates, notices, and opportunities to share feedback that helps strengthen our profession.
