Boundless Freedom Project

Boundless Freedom Project Lighting a path to freedom by sharing mindfulness, ethics & compassion practices with people impacted by incarceration.

Boundless Freedom Project is a 501c3 organization. We continue to support, expand, and develop our Buddhist offerings inside prison by providing Buddhist religious services for incarcerated individuals and ongoing support for Buddhist chaplains interested in serving the prison population, advocating against religious discrimination within the CDCR, and distributing Buddhist materials to any interested individual inside the prison system.

Joy doesn’t always arrive when life feels simple.

Sometimes it grows quietly alongside uncertainty or change.

Tonight’s sanghas with special guest Isabel Kirsch will explore how we can cultivate light by noticing and nurturing moments of joy.

Today, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and lives remembered on Memorial Day.

Mindfulness teaches us to pause and reflect with intention, and to remain present with both remembrance and care for one another.

May we move through today with compassion and respect for all who have served and sacrificed.

What would shift if we led this week with care instead of pressure?

🪷 Care for ourselves.
🪷 Care for our communities.
🪷 Care for the people carrying burdens we may never fully see.

This quote, shared by team member Monica Florez, gently reminds us to begin the day with greater presence and care for ourselves and one another.

Wishing everyone a grounded start to the week 🤍

What would change if you slowed down long enough to truly notice where you are?

🌌 The sky.
🌊 The movement of water.
🪷 The quiet reminder that growth happens gradually.

Sometimes nature helps us remember that we don’t have to rush healing, clarity...or becoming.

May’s theme is Cultivating Light. And sometimes, that light begins with the way we show up for each other.

Next week, Lorraine Hobbs joins us for a virtual sangha exploring healthy, compassionate communication through the practice of Loving Kindness.

Communication has the power to either close us off or bring us closer...to one another and even ourselves.

All Are Welcome!
