Think of the Run Local Awards as Sacramento’s “Best Of” list, but all about running! We’re celebrating the events, clubs, people, and local running-related establishments that make our running community special.

📋 Stage 1: Ballot Building | August 12–19

Tell us your favorites in each category by simply writing in the name of the event, club, store, coach, group, or other nominee you think fits best.

No explanations needed, and if you don’t have an answer for a category, just skip it. Your submissions will help us build the official ballot for Stage 2.

The RunSac Race Series is officially halfway through the season, and the competition is heating up! Swipe through to check out the current Top 10 mileage leaders after five events.

🎯 Nearly 300 runners have already logged double-digit mileage

Another incredible year of STRIDE is in the books! 🎉
In June wrapped up the season with our annual STRIDE Olympic Days, where elementary students got to experience the excitement of track & field alongside local high school and collegiate athletes and coaches. From sprinting and relays to jumps and throws, it was a day filled with learning, movement, and fun.

Over the past year, thousands of students built healthy habits, challenged themselves, and discovered a love for running—logging an amazing 66,667 miles along the way.

Thank you to every student, teacher, coach, volunteer, and school who made this season possible. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💙
