Urijah Faber and Team Alpha Male have again joined forces with Youth Empowerment Society and are gearing up for its 6th Annual “Fight For The Kids” Golf Tournament being held on Friday July 14th, 2017, at Catta Verdera Country Club. Team Alpha Male is working to raise awareness and funds for Youth Empowerment Society (YES). YES’s primary purpose is to empower youth through early intervention, afte
r school programs, counseling, and cultural exchanges. As a result of last year’s proceeds, Youth Empowerment Society’s Leilani Wagner, has implemented an afterschool program in our local community called Empower Hour. EH is 4 day a week program that focuses on the development of cognitive function, motor skills, and emotional awareness through art and play via physically active games. With 20 minutes of play and discussion, a guided meditation, and art activities, we give students a chance to have a voice in the classroom outside of academics, and bring an awareness to how they're feeling mentally, physically, and emotionally. The hope of this program is that kids are able to become more aware of their actions and feelings and be able to handle confrontation or negativity in a calmer fashion. Urijah Faber’s Team Alpha Male “Fight For The Kids” Golf Tournament will take place on Friday, July 14th 2017 at the Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln, CA. Registration begins at 9:00 am, with tee-off at 11 am. The cost for the day is $225 and the price includes entry into all events; 18 holes of golf, riding cart, light breakfast, dinner and a swag bag including an additional round of golf at Catta Verdera. There will be awards given to the top 3 teams, a silent and live auction and dinner directly following the conclusion of golf at Catta Verdera Country Club. Additional dinner tickets can be purchased PRIOR to the event for $55 a person.
