Hello & Goodbye! Join us on June 25 at Sac Yard as we celebrate two milestones in the SABA community.

We'll be raising a glass to Executive Director Deb Banks as she begins her next chapter and welcoming Rebecca Garrow as SABA's new Executive Director.

At the same time, we're helping celebrate New Belgium Brewing's 35th Anniversary!

For every New Belgium pint sold from 4pm to close, $1 will be donated to SABA.

Come meet Rebecca, thank Deb for her years of leadership, connect with fellow bike advocates, and support SABA while enjoying a great beer.

And for a little extra fun: the first 24 people who ride their bike to the event will receive a commemorative 35th Anniversary New Belgium globe glass!

See you at Sac Yard!

SABA E-Bike Check!

Meet Lee and his trusty RadWagon cargo e-bike! What started as a bike has become his go-to vehicle for just about everything. Groceries? No problem. Home Depot run? Easy. Everyday errands? Absolutely.

Lee has customized his RadWagon to maximize utility, turning it into the ultimate cargo-hauling machine. The result? His truck spends a lot more time parked while his e-bike does the heavy lifting.

It's a great reminder that e-bikes aren't just for recreation. They can be a practical, fun, and surprisingly capable way to get around town!

Sac Co Parks are getting serious about enforcing fast riding behavior on the ARBT. Please remember that Class 3 e-bikes are not allowed on the Parkway. Class 1-2 are fine. While this focus is in e-bikes and e-motos, it’s smart to remain at the speed limit (15 mph) on an analog bike too.

As e-bikes continue to grow in popularity, our Rangers are stepping up enforcement efforts to help keep the American River Parkway safe for everyone.

Recently, Rangers partnered with the Sacramento County Probation UTV Team and CHP motorcycle officers for a targeted enforcement operation along the American River Parkway Multi-Use Trail. The operation focused on addressing unsafe riding behaviors, unauthorized vehicles on the trail and educating riders about Parkway regulations.

During the operation, Rangers issued seven citations and towed four vehicles for violations including excessive speed, operating prohibited vehicles on the trail and licensing-related offenses.

Remember: the American River Parkway Multi-Use Trail has a 15 mph speed limit, Class 3 e-bikes are prohibited on the trail, and e-motorcycles are not allowed.

These enforcement efforts will continue throughout the Parkway as part of our ongoing commitment to public safety and ensuring a safe, enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Want to help bring safer streets and better transit to Sacramento?

Our friends at Safer Sac Streets are working to place a citizen-led initiative on the 2026 ballot that would fund improvements to public transportation, walking, and biking infrastructure throughout Sacramento County.

The campaign has made great progress collecting signatures, but there's still work to do and volunteers are needed during Pride Weekend! 🌈

Upcoming signature gathering opportunities:
-Pride 5K Run & Festival on Saturday, June 13

-Pride Parade & Festival on Sunday, June 14

Even one hour can make a difference. If you've been looking for a way to support safer, more connected transportation options in our region, this is a great opportunity to get involved.
