Hey there! We know, it's been too long since we've kept in touch. This Season has been a whirlwind, and we'll be the first to admit that in the excitement of it all we let Barre Society fall to the back burner. But that is about to change. We've got really exciting things in the works and we can't wait to share it with you!

Looking for some Friday night fun? Join the dancers this evening at Keith Sutter Photography's opening reception of "The Art of Ballet" - a gorgeous display of the beauty of dance!

For the past 8 years whenever I have been able to carve out some time to pursue photography for myself, to create work that is significant to me, I have found myself taking the most beautiful and expressive people I know to some of the most spectacular locations I have ever visited. I am excited (and a little nervous) to announce my first major show in years. “The Art of Ballet” opens Friday Nov. 14 from 6-8pm at the Gallery at 48 Natoma, in Folsom California. It should be a great party and I will be greatly honored if my Facebook community of supporters came to see the images that I have been posting, in real life, printed large and as a single collection. The magnificence of our reality is what I have been seeking, what inspires me and what I hope to share with this work. Curious about how Sacramento Ballet all started? Join us tonight (or tomorrow) for a unique and intimate conversation with our founding director, Barbara Crockett. This legendary ballerina is a prominent force in our community - still teaching dance at 95 years old and instilling a sense of dedication in countless dancers.

We will also be showing the first sneak peak of a brand new work being created for our Modern Masters program by Robert Kelley - one of the first principal dancers of The Sacramento Ballet.

This holiday season for the first time ever Front Street Animal Shelter and Sacramento Ballet are partnering to bring the warm and fuzzies (puppies that is) to Sacramento this holiday season.

Once again Sacramento Ballet presents its classic The Nutcracker December 6-21, 2014 at the Community Center Theater, the run will feature over 500 children from the community.

This year as an extra special treat each performance will star an adoption eligible dog from Front Street Animal Shelter, and adoption experts will be present after the show to allow for a lucky family to take that furry celebrity home for the holidays.

Sacramento Ballet and Front Street Animal Shelter are excited to promote the holiday spirit together.
