HopBroads We are a group of women who love to taste, talk and learn about craft beer. We meet once a month - check our Events page for the next event! Why Hop "Broads"?

If you were to look up the original definition of the word broad, you would find that it simply means "a woman." The initial usage of the word did not have such the derogatory association that it may now - and in fact, it originally meant more expressively, "a beautiful woman." We love that and embrace it's original definition. More specifically, we chose the term broad to encompass the wide range

of knowledge involved in the craft beer world. As passionate members of the craft beer world, we intend to broaden our horizon when it comes to tasting, talking and learning about beer. With that said, "broad" is the perfect double-entendre definition we were looking for!

HopBroads are gearing up for beer week by brewing with Sactown Union today! The beer is named HopBroads LBIPA (Little Black IPA)- a take on the LBD (Little Black Dress).
