Capital City Squares is the 2nd oldest Gay Square Dance club in the U.S., founded in 1981. We’re One of Many local and Bay Area Clubs ... Part of the enjoyment of square dancing is making new friends and dancing to other callers. Capital City Squares is a member of the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs (IAGSDC) and the Associated Square Dancers of Superior California (ASDSC). We

follow the Modern Western Square Dancing framework as standardized by Callerlab (the International Association of Square Dance Callers). Capital City Squares dances on Wednesday evenings at The Fruitridge Community Center, 4000 Fruitridge Rd, Sacramento, CA 95820

The Fall new class for beginners starts in September and continues to meet weekly on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:00 pm. Advanced level class runs 8:00-9:15 pm.
