The Oak Park Tool Library is a developing project of Alchemist Community Development Corporation.
We are working to establish the first community-powered lending library of tools in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento, in order to help all neighbors have better and easier access to the tools they need for construction, maintenance, and repair projects.
The Oak Park Tool Library will be housed in a shipping container on the grounds of the Oak Park Art Garden (3834 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Sacramento, CA, 95820).

Current Status:
The entire Oak Park Art Garden site is under development to become a vibrant community hub. Construction will begin on the Oak Park Art Garden by Spring 2025, and will be completed within 2025. The completed construction will result in the installation of the Oak Park Tool Library building, allowing us to proceed with the next steps of setting up and operating the Oak Park Tool Library. This means the Oak Park Tool Library opening will be later than the completion date for construction, as work cannot begin on physically setting up the library until the site is completed safely.
