On Tuesday, August 6th at 12 noon we're having our every other a month meeting. So if you're not busy come on by the union office.

Our annual spring fling picnic will be held on May 7th at Tahoe park at 12 noon we will be have a pot luck, so bring your favorite dish and we are supplying hot dogs and hamburgers along with soft drinks and water.

At Tuesday's meeting Crystal informed me that the work on the meeting room will be finished in May. So we should be able to get back to normal order. It was a lively meeting with a good turn out. New member, Donae Hanible , gave us a generous donation and it was put toward paying for the expense of sending out the last mailer. So thank you Donae.
The spring fling was mentioned and scheduled for April 2 at Tahoe park, weather permitting . Go Niners

At yesterday's meeting (12-5-23) we had a nice turnout, with 7 new members joining with their $10 dues payment. The new ATU256 president Crystal McGee Lee spoke for about an hour and a half about our health and welfare benefits. She seems to want a level of transparency in our union we haven't previously had. The event was somewhat chaotic but informative. We also elected some new officers, all of whom were new members so things are a changing. I'd like to thank George Pruitt for all he's done for our group as president over the years. Thanks George, you were the best.

We had 25 people at our yearly lunch at the Black Bear. Sounds like there is some concern about the notice the union put out about the audit on the health and welfare checks. At our next meeting I expect some lively conversation on this necessary check up.

On a sad note; I just read on facebook Tom Bauder's daughter reports he is on his death bed and not expected to live much longer. Tom was the president of our retirees group for some time and was there for us. I will remember him fondly.

Looks like we're getting closer to the day when we'll be able to have another meeting. Maybe something in the park. We'll see..... i hope you're all doing well

We're getting ready for our spring and summer fling at El Portal park on June 5th. I'm expecting a pretty good turnout because we're going to have cake to celebrate Mary's (George's Mary) birthday along with the Twyman's 50th wedding anniversary.
