The Miss Sacramento County Scholarship Program is a non-profit corporation affiliated with the Miss America Program and our purpose is to instill in the young women of our county the principle of hard work, growth and persistence that merit one’s success in life. The committee consist of volunteers throughout the Sacramento area and no one on the committee is paid for the time or services provided

to the Miss Sacramento County Program. The Miss America Organization is the largest scholarship foundation in the world for young women. More than 49 million dollars is awarded annually to more than 70,000 young women; who participate in this program each year. Each Contestant is required to adopt a platform, an ideal that is important to her in her community and that she is willing to give community service to. We are also partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network and we help to raise money that directly benefits the children in the hospital at U.C. The Miss America Program has raised over $8,600,000.00 for the Children’s Miracle Network to date. The purpose of our organization is as follows:

1. To provide scholarships for young women in the community and to instill in them an appreciation for the importance of pursuing higher education;

2. To help them work to attain solid character building values which can be developed through properly regulated competition, which requires self discipline and a desire for self improvement;

3. To contribute to their personal growth and the development of their talents by offering a program with professional assistance;

4. to organize a program of civic importance as a medium for achieving the goals of the young women in our community.

Happiest of birthdays to our state director !!! I’ve had the pleasure of looking up to you for 5 years and am constantly inspired by your grace, insane work ethic, and the care you put in to everything you do. Not only have you been apart of my crown journey since literal day one, but I’ve watched you grow from volunteer to local director to STATE DIRECTOR!!! From the moment I stepped into my first local rehearsal and was really intimidated by how pretty and talented you were to now having you as a director is a dream. I hope your birthday is as amazing as you are! 💕

Sacramento has officially kicked off Christmas! So much fun at the Sacramento Santa Parade this morning, soaking in every last second I have with this title🎄♥️ it’s always a great time reuniting with my sisters and connecting with our community. Plus, I think the dogs need to be in every parade, they were a huge hit as you can tell!

I had the honor of singing the National Anthem at the Community Tree Lighting this evening in Shingle Springs. I got to chat with the sweetest local titleholders, pet some really fluffy cows and I even got to light the tree! It was so special having a former and forever Miss California’s Teen ‘s mom reach out and invite me to participate. There’s something so special about seeing a community come together, and I had a great time being apart of this event. Thank you!

A great evening at the Rancho Cordova Christmas Tree lighting! I helped passed out popcorn and candy and got to connect with so many kids and families, which is my favorite part of the job. It is amazing when we see communities come together sharing resources and services to care and serve our community.

I was having so much fun I didn’t get enough content lol! I wasn’t sure I’d make it since im only 6 days post opp, but im so glad I did❤️💚

I love any excuse to show my gratitude! Sending everyone lots of love and appreciation from the 916✨ it’s been a year of growth, learning, opportunity and sisterhood and I am so beyond grateful. Shout out to our state team ( ) for standing by us and giving us the opportunity to serve our community full heartedly, the sisterhood of amazing women who always inspire me, my amazing family who show up for me and support me, and my local girls who have been on this ride together. And those who have supported and loved on me since day one, you are a blessing ( .tay.winslow )

In addition to my scholarships earned from the Miss America Opportunity, this year I received two academic scholarships!! Entering my last year of grad school feels so surreal, and I am feeling extra grateful being awarded these scholarships funded my generous donors who believe in and support me 🐝💚

Still can’t believe this actually happened, but a few weeks ago I had the honor and privilege of singing the National Anthem for the A’s!!

This was a huge moment for me and felt even more special as my dad was a HUGE baseball fan, this is a day I’ll never forget💖

Plus having my family there, including my mom flying out from Colorado, blessed is an understatement

When my voice teacher, Tamie, asked me to sing the National Anthem in Lincoln for the 4th of July, I was so excited for another opportunity. She mentioned it was a huge event, and when I arrived, I instantly knew she wasn’t kidding as a staff member told me they have about 10-15 THOUSAND PEOPLE attending✨Challenge accepted ✨ this was the biggest crowd I’d ever sang in front of and I felt so honored and blessed. I had the BEST time, thank you so much for making it all possible and for preparing, encouraging and supporting me!

Not only was singing a blast, but I had some amazing conversations with the local Girl Scout troupes, sharing how I grew up a Girl Scout as well and learning about their dreams and goals. I also ran into a fellow titleholder, made some new friends on the dance floor, and made lasting connections
