As a chaplain, we are here to support all the residents in their religious decisions. I’m honored to be able to baptize them on the inside . Congratulations to all the young people who make a decision to follow Jesus.

Grateful for the work of exodus project and what they do to shine their light for people in dark situations. For people being released from jail, they may be walking into hopelessness. This organization breaths hope into their lives by offering support, love and compassion. If someone you know who’s over 18 needs a helping hand when released from jail, reach out to them. If you want to support their mission also reach out. This is the real deal and they are doing a good work.

I would like to welcome Caleb Tate, my newest Chaplain on staff at the Sacramento County Youth Detention Facility. Im already blessed with an amazing staff and team of volunteers but it just got better! Caleb has been a JJC volunteer for a few years now and is loved but the residents. He is also active within the sacramento community. If you see him around say hi! He’s often seen at Real life church, House of Prayer, coaching,preaching on HS campus’s through FCA and he still has time to spend at City of refuge. Thanks for helping us meet these youth and young adults, right where they’re at.

Bridgeway Church did it again! Literally hosted 2 unit parties this year! Way to go!! This one was led by Ryan DesJardin and an awesome group of men and women who came to let the youth know, God sees them and loves them. Lots of laughs and tender moments as they hung out together.

One of my favorite nights of the year! We get to judge the units decorating skills for Christmas. Each year we pick a theme and this was a, North Pole Christmas 🎄 thanks to the YDF probation for all the Support!

thank you for blessing a housing unit at juvenile hall, with a Christmas party! Many laughs and meaningful moments! Lots of spaghetti and cookies too👊🏼 thanks for supporting the positive change vision of the YDF!

The JJC is ready for our Christmas celebrations!!
This is one of my favorite times of the year. Churches from all over Sacramento area partner with us! Each church hosts a housing unit to give the residents a Christmas party! 🌲🚂
