Dolly Parton wasn't just the queen of country music, she used her extraordinary success to lift up the people around her. A philanthropist who supported LGBTQIA+ communities, school literacy programs, funded COVID vaccine research, community development in a Black Nashville neighborhood and the working class overall. Her song "9 to 5" is an empowering working-class anthem about the inequalities faced by the workers. Dolly was one for one. 🩷

Dolly Parton knew what it was like to struggle as she fought for working families her whole career. From providing free books to kids to giving working women our "9 to 5" anthem, she was an icon and an inspiration.
