Each chapter operates autonomously within the APA National Policy Guidelines and assumes their non-profit status. This means each individual chapter operates independently and does not have a direct financial relationship with APA National. Both chapters and the national organization share and support the same goals, which include the most important goal of education within the payroll profession. Local chapters work in conjunction with APA National to provide outstanding networking, education opportunities, and professional development resources through chapter meetings, study groups, statewide/regional conferences, and community outreach. Affiliated chapters support APA's mission and encourage national membership and participation, while promoting educational growth and unity in their profession to their local communities.
