The Summer Wanes and the Harvest Approaches . . .
We welcome the change with the sacred “in-between” festival
of Lughnasa!
On August 2 we will find ourselves halfway between the Summer Solstice (Litha) and the Autumnal Equinox (Mabon) at the Celtic calendar’s dividing line between the summer and the fall. You are invited to come and join us for:
Lughnasa On The Mountain
Come celebrate Lughnasa, the final festival of the summer and the first festival of the harvest --- the grain harvest. We will share time, feast, do a ritual, play some games, and . . . who knows . . . we might even get a visit from John Barleycorn!
Sunday, August 2
2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
420 Coloma Heights Road
Coloma, California
Things to Bring:
Potluck Food to share. Grain based food is on theme!
Ritual Dress if you can (colors of the sun and the grains, flowing clothes, robes, jewelry, head wreaths...)
Drums or other instruments (two sticks, or an old pot and a spoon are fine too)
Blankets and/or chairs for sitting
Water and other drinks to share and to stay hydrated
Fun and play are strongly encouraged . . . . . about that John Barleycorn!
Sunscreen or other protection from the sun
Your sacred, amazing self and loved ones
