💜⚽ **HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES DAY!** ⚽💜

Today, we celebrate the people who make so much of what we do at Land Park Soccer possible: **our coaches.**

To every coach who arrives early to set up cones, stays late to pack everything away, plans practices after a long day at work, sends the team emails, ties a loose cleat, dries a few tears, celebrates the big goals, and finds something encouraging to say after the tough games, **thank you.**

Thank you for teaching our players that soccer is about so much more than the final score.

You teach them how to be teammates. How to work hard. How to handle disappointment. How to celebrate someone else's success. How to get back up after making a mistake. How to compete with confidence and win or lose with respect.

And somewhere along the way, you're helping create friendships, memories, and a love for this game that our players may carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Land Park Soccer simply wouldn't be Land Park Soccer without you.

Our coaches give countless hours of their time to make sure hundreds of kids in our community have a place to play, learn, belong, and grow. We see that commitment, and today we want to make sure you know just how much it is appreciated.

☀️ Practice Update – Heat Advisory ☀️

Due to today's heat advisory and in the interest of keeping our players, families, coaches, and volunteers safe, all Land Park Soccer practices scheduled for today (Monday August 3rd) have been canceled.

While we won't be on the field, it's still a great opportunity for teams to connect! Coaches, consider organizing a fun off-site team activity such as:
🍦 An ice cream outing
🥤 A trip for smoothies
🎲 Board games at a local community space
🍕 A pizza night
🌳 A shaded park meetup

Building friendships and team chemistry is just as important as building soccer skills, and sometimes the best memories happen away from the field.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us put player safety first. We look forward to seeing everyone back on the field once temperatures return to a safe level.
